Q: WHAT IS A SLEEPING SACK?
A: Parents in Europe have been using baby sleeping sacks, sometimes referred to as sleeping bags in the United Kingdom, for over 30 years. They are worn over pajamas and once zipped or fastened cannot slip off the child's body. Wide at the bottom they allow freedom of movement for the legs. Imagine a safe, wearable blanket.
Q: WHY A SLEEPING SACK FOR YOUR BABY?
A: UK health experts recommend the use of sleeping sacks to reduce the risks of SIDS. Recent research suggests that up to half of the babies that die from SIDS suffocate in soft and fluffy bedding, such as quilts and blankets. The Jonas Jodie Sleeping Sack replaces these blankets, and is a safe and practical alternative to other loose sheets & bedclothes. It keeps babies covered and comforted all night long.
Q: WHEN DO I START USING A SLEEPING SACK?
A: You can start using the sleeping sack when your baby comes out of a swaddle at 4-6 weeks. At night, sleeping sacks are ideal when your baby needs to be kept covered during late feeds, and for active babies who kick off their bedclothes.

Q: WHAT IS IT MADE OF?
A: Jonas Jodie Sleeping Sacks are made of 100% cool, breathable cotton for both the shell and lining. The fabrics we use are non-allergenic and non-static. Parents find cotton healthier than fleece or flannel because it allows the skin to breathe and ventilate. The filling is 100% naturally flame resistant polyester. No fire retardant additives. We use polyester for wash-n-wear durability. The polyester filling allows the sleeping sack to stay in shape and will not twist around your baby.
Q: CAN I USE THE SACK IF I LIVE IN A TROPICAL COUNTRY?
A: Yes. We provide a lightweight version for warmer climates. Our lightweight sleeping sack is designed specially for babies who sleep in air-conditioned rooms in a tropical country.
Q: COULD THE BABY SINK IN THE SLEEPING BAG?
A: No, given that the size is right for your baby, the armholes and neck are fitted so there is no risk of slipping into the bag.
Q: WHY ARE THERE NO SLEEVES?
A: This reduces the risk of overheating, allowing baby's heat to circulate and ventilate.
Q: HOW DO I KNOW IF MY BABY IS TOO HOT OR TOO COLD?
A: Place your hand inside the sleeping sack against your baby's stomach or back. Do not rely on touching their hands, as babies tend to have colder hands because of their immature blood circulation. If you feel that your baby is too warm (flushed and sweaty) simply remove a layer of clothes.
